In a world where magic is a commonplace skill and those lacking in it are granted exceptional physical abilities in its stead, the fires of war are barely dying down. The imperialist Magocracy of Ecri holds sway over more and more of the east, while peace reigns uneasily in the west. The great Blue Flowers Group, once savior of nations at a time, appears to have dissolved. Citizens of poorer nations starve, and all the while prophets utter contradictory predictions for the arrival of a new era ...

... But none of that means much to Cielo Glasser, a fourteen-year-old girl with neither magic nor physical ability. Her main talent seems to be spacing out at opportune moments, and she's on a journey. This comic begins with her.

Very plot-based, so starting from the beginning is suggested.

*cough*

Me not updating is pretty normal. I will say that my life may or may not have exploded, and until Friday or after, I won't really know what's going on. Pretty much everyone who I know reads this has already heard what I'm all upset about, but bare bones version the D&D group I'm in may or may not break up. I can't really focus on drawing right now, plus I'm really busy in general this week for some reason.

After I know what's going on, when I am up to returning to updating (hopefully, this will be next week!) I will attempt to update Mondays and Wednesdays. Friday is my D&D night and that's why it's busy, so I guess if we really are ending, I'll be able to update then too ... but I really hope that doesn't happen. If we keep playing like I hope we do, I'll stick to M/W and try to add Friday later as I get more on top of things. (I like the idea of M/W/F updates more, because it means more pages, but realistically I've been able to get stuff up on Mondays and Wednesdays but on Friday I'm too excited and too busy.)

So. Superfluous note over. I should really update the look of this site, too.

Well.

No, there's not an update. It's drawn but I don't know if I have the driver for this scanner and I may be too lazy to work that out in the week before I return to school.

This is just a post to say that since some people don't like the news post updates, as they're apparently misleading (when I talk about updating again and then don't have as many pages as people want), I'll stop doing them.

So there isn't anything to say if I've updated except the update thing itself.

But who cares? This comic doesn't update much anyway.

'Kay, that's all. Hope you all had a nice holiday.

Eheheheh.

Forgive me for my absence.

I've been running around with a squid on my head.

That's still one of my greatest pastimes, but I'm going to try to start updating beginning on Monday. We'll see how long I can keep it up.

Why am I posting this when it's not Monday yet? To give myself inspiration (read: a kick in the pants) to make sure the new chapter goes up on Monday.

... yeah ...

EDIT: I made a mistake about the number of comics posted because of the autoupdates it's set to do. There'll be a couple more. As for if there'll be a break later while I get set up at school ... don't know. I don't have drawing time *now*, that's for sure.

This happens to most comics every once in a while. Sorry it happened so soon, though.

This week: Getting packed up, saying goodbyes, leaving for college in another state.

Next week: Going through orientation for college in another state.

Week after that and onward: Getting used to extremely rigorous college coursework and living semi-independently (that is, in a dorm where I will have some things like cooking and bathroom maintenance done for me, but will have to do more things myself than at home.)

Unknown time, hopefully in the quite near future: I get myself organized enough to have more updates for ya.

Launch soon....

I've removed all old comics, as I'm relaunching the story. I'll be done with the site layout work soon, then I'll start updating the comic. Thanks for your patience.

... ignore that stuff about trying it as a novel. It's a comic. I've decided. xD

hiatus

I'm playing with turning this into a story in book form, so I don't know when/if this is updating. Sorry. I'm not finalizing anything yet, just playing around.

Overhaul

So. The comics that are up here are going to come down. Then they'll be replaced by the ones I am drawing, which are the new storyline, but better drawn, better paced, and originally in English. So it'll go left to right, and I won't have to change all of the text. (Assuming I can write legibly.)

There's a short delay on all of this because my scanner isn't functioning. We have to test and figure out what's wrong and whether or not we can fix it on the software end; if we can, it shouldn't be too long, and if we can't, I don't know when it'll get replaced. But that's what's being planned, anyway.

Coming . . . eventually.

I doubt anyone actually sat around wondering what was going to happen with this comic.

However! It is not dead.

I'm trying to get up enough of a store that I can set a bunch of comics to autoupdate so I won't have to manually do it in time, and I can work ahead. So I did launch a bit prematurely . . .

When it's ready, Chocolate Strawberry will update every two weeks or so (still deciding exact update schedule) with a chapter. Chapters vary in length but so far they seem to be about 10-15 pages.

So yeah . . . I launched prematurely. I'll be working a bit on making the site prettier, too. ^^;

Thank you for your patience, if anyone is actually reading this. ^_^
